Aug 20 - Firefighters tackle the flames at the 19th century Egyptian parliament building in Cairo.
Egyptian police are ruling out arson and terrorism, after a fire broke out in the historic building which housed the upper chamber of parliament.
Smoke continued to rise from the building for 16 hours after the fire started. Dozens of fire-fighters tackled the blaze and one policeman was killed, said Interior Minister Habib el-Adli.
Police suspect that an electrical short circuit started the fire in the interior of the once grand Italianate structure.
